Baked Garlic and Herb French Fries
Ingredients
- 5-6 medium golden potatoes
- 1 cup flour
- 1 Tbs garlic and herb seasoning (our favorite is FlavorGod brand)
- Olive oil spray
Preheat your oven to 375*. Cover a large baking sheet with foil and spray with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
Cut your potatoes into your preferred fry size. (Remember, the smaller the fry, the faster it cooks!) In a large bowl mix the flour and the garlic and herb seasoning with a fork. Add the potatoes and mix with fork until they are well covered with the flour and seasoning mixture. (If you’re a little short just add a Tbs more flour and stir.)
Scoop out the floured potatoes and lay in a single layer on the oiled baking sheet. Spray the tops of the potatoes generously with oil and place in the oven to cook. Depending on how thin your fries are, check at 20 minutes for a soft inside and crunchy outside. If they aren’t quite done yet continue to check every 5 minutes until done.
*Feel free to add more salt to your fries. We are a low-sodium household and enjoy the amount of salt included in our garlic and herb seasoning.
Thyme Carrots
These are the only vegetable our kids ask to eat! Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 10 med. to large size carrots, cut to apprx. 2-3″ X 1/4″ long batonnet
- 1 Tbs. olive oil (vegetable oil is acceptable, or try coconut oil for sweeter carrots!)
- 1- 1.5 tsp dried thyme, to taste
- salt, to taste
- spray oil
Preheat oven to 375*. Cover a large baking sheet with foil and spray with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
Place the cut carrots in a bowl, drizzle with the olive oil and mix. Once well covered in oil sprinkle in the thyme and salt to taste and give it another stir. Place the carrots in a single layer on your oiled baking sheet and bake in the oven. Check in 12 minutes. You want the carrots to be al dente, but not browned.
We hope you enjoy our family’s recipes! Please let us know in the comments if you’ve tried one or both of them.
